Beacon holder
BH/01/6+
In most cases, the transponders of underwater positioning systems (beacons of the USBL system) are placed directly on the cable or crane line.
Such an installation, although cheap, carries with it many disadvantages:
- Risk of damage to wire cable by point pressure from clips
- Destruction of the beacon as it is constantly exposed to vibration, friction from the steel cable and contact with lubricants
- If the transponder is replaced, trouble to place exactly in the same place (positioning errors)
- Risk of losing equipment due to incorrect fastening and loosening during operation
Having faced the problems described above on several occasions, we decided to solve them and, as a finished product, make them available for sale.
The main features that distinguish our handle:
- The friction element ensures that the pressure on the rope is evenly distributed without crushing it.
- Beacon is shielded and isolated as much as possible from the working cable - without affecting the acoustic transmission of the signal.
- Thanks to the independent mounting of the base and clamp in relation to the beacon, the device can be replaced without removing the clamp from the rope - it will always be in exactly the same place.
- A stop at the rear, further secures the device from sliding out, while helping to position it always, perfectly in the same position. This element does not impede handling (access to the socket, etc.).
- Thanks to the double security of the screw connections and the additional mounting holes, the risk of loss is minimised as much as possible.
- All designed, manufactured and tested in the European Union.
Technical parameters:
Beacon length: 420mm (design value)
