It is not very common to deploy towing equipment by side A-frame on deck. This creates a number of problems in terms of wire transfer, safe deployment\/recovery and maintaining wire spacing from the thrusters.<\/p>

To cope, with this rather unusual task, we designed an extendable spacer arm for the sonar, which was attached to the container twist-locks on deck.
This kept the sonar several metres off the side and we avoided welding structural components to the deck.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
